FREE Open Workshop Jam - Improv For Beginners and Everyone Else (Tuesdays)    Instructors: John Vadas & Cody jones   Curious about improv? Want to think faster on your feet, become a better listener, and improve your public speaking skills? Come join us for an absolutely free ongoing workshop jam introducing you the the wonderful world of improvisation (or "improv"). In addition to giving rise to some our best comedic minds and actors like Tina Fey, Steven Colbert, and Bill Murray, improvisation is widely used in businesses and schools to improve communication, creativity, and collaboration. Space is limited to those with little to no improv experience.  Every Tuesday from 8:00 - 10:00 PM

BASICS OF THE HAROLD (July 20)   Instructor:  Brian Mossa   Explore the ins and outs of The Harold, Improv’s original long form piece. Learn to craft openings that create dynamic themes upon which to build your scenes. Explore ways of expanding play to flesh out your characters’ world. Find methods of tying together scenes and motifs for a satisfying conclusion. This two-part workshop will emphasize the importance of making strong choices early on, using “if, then” to build upon your ideas, and establishing and pursuing patterns of play.
